Dear tourists, thank you for visiting Angkor taxi driver!!

 

Hello everybody, My name is Try kimhak but most people call me Hak as a short name because it is easier.

 

I was born in 1988 in Battmabang Province, it is about 180 kilometres from Siem Reap. There are 6 people in my family, my parents and my 3 younger brothers and I am the oldest one. Being the oldest brother in the family in Cambodia is not too easy. I have to be responsible for one of my brothers today who is studying in Siem Reap High School. However I am very happy that my family is very very good to me.

 

My brother and I are both living in Siem Reap. I have been living here for 4 years and my brother came here last year to continue his high school studies. We are both living in our relative's guesthouse that is called Jasmine Lodge. We are both working there.

 

I started working there since I arrived in Siem Reap. I have done a lot work such as being a waiter, a motor taxi driver, receptionist and duty manager as well. In 2006 I was sponsored to the good tourism and hotel school in Siem Reap for one year by an Australian man called Bob. I have gained so much knowledge from that one year in Hotel school about the hotel management business. I have also worked in some big hotels in Siem Reap as well.

 

I have changed many jobs because I wanted to make some new experience for myself. I only graduated in the secondary school degree so this is the only way for me to get myself familiar with all the work in real life.

 

As the result, at the moment I am a fully licensed taxi driver to Angkor temple. I take tourists on to see the temples and help them with their tour itineraries. I can speak very fluent English and have a great sense of humor. I also have a very good knowledge of the Angkor temples, and the town and surrounding areas of Siem Reap, and I can give you a lot of advice planning your trip in Cambodia, too.
